Hydro Jetting

Trident Plumbing provides professional hydro jetting throughout Oconee, Anderson and Pickens Counties. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to remove grease, buildup, debris and other material from drain and sewer piping when conventional drain cleaning may not provide a thorough enough cleaning.

What Is Hydro Jetting?

Hydro jetting sends high-pressure water through the drain or sewer line using specialized nozzles designed to clean the inside of the pipe. Instead of simply opening a path through a blockage, jetting can remove buildup from the pipe walls and flush loosened material from the system.

When Hydro Jetting May Be Appropriate

Hydro jetting can be useful for recurring drain problems caused by grease, sludge, heavy buildup and other material coating the inside of the pipe. It can also be used after certain blockages are cleared to more thoroughly clean the line and reduce material left behind.

Hydro Jetting vs. Drain Snaking

Conventional drain snaking can be effective for breaking through or removing many clogs. Hydro jetting serves a different purpose by using water to clean buildup from the interior surface of the piping. The condition of the pipe and the cause of the blockage determine which method is appropriate.

Inspecting the Pipe Before Hydro Jetting

Hydro jetting is not appropriate for every pipe. Older, deteriorated or damaged piping should be evaluated before high-pressure cleaning is used. When the condition of the line is uncertain, a sewer camera inspection can help determine whether the piping is suitable for jetting or whether another repair method is more appropriate.

Recurring Drain & Sewer Problems

If a line repeatedly clogs after conventional cleaning, heavy buildup may not be the only problem. Roots, damaged piping, improper slope or other defects can cause recurring backups. Trident Plumbing works to identify the cause rather than repeatedly cleaning a line that actually needs repair.
